$22-30/hr based on experienceOvertime Available WeeklyExcellent BenefitsMust have valid and active Driver's License to be considered for the positionDuring our time of growth, we are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic (Nights M-F) to work our 3rd shift (12pm-12pm).
Diesel Mechanic (Nights M-F)
Responsibilities:
Service and repair diesel engines, brakes, hydraulics, electrical, mechanical, and air; front and rear suspensions.
Analyze and tune engines through the use of engine analyzer, ignition analyzer, injector pump tester, and coolantDiagnose all failures of equipment, remove and replace parts as necessary, and repair any and all mechanical and electrical issues that arise.
Repairing and replacing damaged or worn parts on all equipment.
Operating and inspecting equipment to diagnose defectsDiagnosing faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices.
Demonstrate integrity and ethics.
Performs all necessary vehicle repairs as assignedMaintains a safe, clean, productive and efficient workIdentifies and reports any repairs found to be necessary whether or not previously Indicates any necessary repairs that are above current qualification level.
Records time spent, parts used, and repairs on the appropriate forms provided as each activity is completed.
Ensures compliance of work and work area with appropriate state and federal regulations regarding equipment and equipmentDiesel Mechanic (Nights M-F) Requirements:
Minimum of 3
years experience working in a heavy equipment/diesel shop, 5 years preferredExtensive experience with engine, electrical and hydraulic repairsEffective communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability.
Ability to understand and execute verbal and written instructions.
Must be cooperative and show initiative towards improving skills.
Ability to work productively with minimal supervision.
Basic computer skills needed for data entry into maintenance systemsAbout the Company:
